This unit has revolutionised domestic hot water heat heating in Japan.
The Hitachi Eco-Cute heat pump system is one of the worlds most advanced hot water generating appliances available. It contains two heat pump engines - both with inverter drives. These allow the system to operate an instantaneous "on demand" hot water circuit, much like a conventional combi boiler. The difference of course is running cost! This Hitachi RHK-23TBA unit gives upto 4.6 kW of piping hot water from every single kw/h of electricity it consumes!! That's, upto 23kw of "on demand " hot water from a 5 kW (21.5 amp) single phase electrical supply. Think about that for a second, that's nearly 2.5 times the output of the most powerful electric showers, for a little over half the energy cost!
The system also does away with the need for any hot water cylinders, meaning much simpler DHWS pipework installations & no "wasted" energy trying to store hot water.

Alternatively, the Eco-Cute units can be incorporated into a recirculating DHW system to operate alongside a Solar Hot Water Generation system.
