Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse the store product listings, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet - Read Credit Card Security to see how we process your card details.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling Shipping is generally via Royal Mail or TNT. Our shipping costs are calculated on consignment weight and delivery timescale. We don't generally offer any delivery timescale other than next day.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CONSIGNMENT FOR DAMAGE BEFORE YOU SIGN FOR IT.

If you sign for a consignment as "recieved in good condition", we can't then claim the costs on the carrier's insurance.
Delivery Schedule For stock items ordered (and confirmed) before 14:00 hours, we despatch your order same day. However, systems with "made to order" DIY pipekits have a 2-3 day lead time depending on workload. We will normally send your order to you in 7 business days .
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% (or any new prevailing rate) VAT is added.

For heat pump systems supplied AND installed by us, a reduced rate of VAT (5%) may be applicable subject to any chnages to current rulings by HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs). Please call for details 08450 944 607
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our office based computer. They are not held in clear text on any remote web site.
All credit card transactions are processed in house, by us, and only via bank Issued <either StreamLine or TSB Cardnet> secure credit card merchant terminals. This means that your card details are not emailed around the world to third party card processing agents like PayPal or Worldpay etc.

We will manually process the transaction via our office based card terminal (not a computer), giving absolutely no chance of interception.
Guarantee We try hard to guarantee your satisfaction. In addition to the rights that you have under the distance selling regulations, we offer a minimum of 12 months warranty on all new products <we don't normally offer refurbished items, but anything that is refurbished would be clearly marked together with any applicable warranty deviation>

Unless you have purchased a "fully installed" air conditioning system or have purchased an "on site warranty", any & all faulty equipment/products must be returned to our Stockport, Greater Manchester warehouse for assessment. This must be done at the buyer's expense. YOU MUST CALL US TO OBTAIN A RETURNS NUMBER BEFORE SENDING THE GOODS BACK.
If we find a geniune defect, will repair or replace your equipment or product and return it to you free of charge. If we find no defect, or find a defect due to mis-use or other external damage, we will quote you for any relevant repair work or return your equipment to you at your cost.

ON-SITE SERVICES.
On-site services are supplied solely subject to AirconWarehouse terms and conditions and no other. These include (but are not limited to) the following:-
Our Engineer's time is charged at between £27.50 - £45.00 + VAT per hour and mileage at £0.60 pence + VAT per mile. Given:-
1. any quoted price
2. any part or equipment cost
3. and knowing the distance from our Manchester Offices,
a customer is deemed able to "Back Calculate" any time allowance associated with the task. No refunds or credits are given in respect of our engineer's time and mileage where works have been carried out correctly.

Furthermore, if you have bought a service for which the cost was "quoted" or estimated to you or has a specific time allowance, we reserve the right to STOP the works and make ADDITIONAL CHARGES in respect of our engineer's time and/or any return visit/s to site which may become necessary. Particularly where:-

1. Engineers are requested to attend site but are then denied access to the site or equipment for WHATEVER reason. This includes orders or restrictions imposed by Landlords* or Managing Agents, Site Security Staff, Police or Emergency Services/State or Government Authorities.
2. A site is deemed unsuitable or too dangerous or too unsanitary to allow works to progress.
3. A customer insists additional works not specifically listed in any quotation are carried out.
4. The customer has not made a reasonable or fair attempt to make the works accessable.
5. A customer insists on specific additional safety procedures be adhered to which are not included in our risk assessment and are therfore excluded from our quote.
6. A customer insists (after works have already commenced) that specific paperwork, manuals, permissions or insurances be provided before payment can be made.
7. Special access or lifting equipment is or becomes necessary in order to carry out or finish the works.

* All customers are deemed to have sought any and all permissions needed to allow works to progress & be completed. This includes Landlord's, Lessor's, Local Authority or Managing Agent's (or any other) permissions or licences that may be or become required.

All customers are deemed to be aware of the location (for travel time & mileage calculation purposes) of our Greater Manchester Offices & Base.

Manufacturer's Claims & Brochures.
Claims made by Manufacturers in their brochures, literature adverts or websites (whether or not these are made available on the airconwarehouse.com site) are the claims of the respective manufacturer & not those of Aircon Warehouse Limited or Aircon Warehouse (Sales) Limited. From time to time, brochures may be made available on the Aircon Warehouse site which are intended for a "World Market Audience". These brochures may contain content that is not relevant in certain market areas.

Your delivery details ONLY may be passed to a reputable courier (Night Frieght/TNT/Royal Mail etc) in order to allow the delivery your goods. Details of the equipment you have will be passed to a service engineer only if you have ordered any on-site services.
We NEVER distribute/sell or trade customer or marketing information to third parties.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

Warranties on all hardware goods which are supplied as DIY fit and any component items are of the RETURN TO BASE type. This means that, should an equipment fault develop, the equipment must be returned to our Stockport Offices for warranty determination. All costs associated with returning the equipment rest with the buyer. The sole exception is where an ON SITE WARRANTY service has been purchased.

Refunds can't be given for Services where they have been correctly carried out i.e. Delivery, Installation, Commissioning etc.
Remittance Terms Payments are generally processed on the day of despatch. However, payments will occasionally be taken the day before your goods are despatched (generally on transactions processed after15:00 hours or where the day's orders have already been shipped.)

From time to time, credit account terms may be extended to certain customers - generally, customers purchasing on-site services. Extended credit is offered for a MAXIMUM period of 30 days nett. We reserve the right to charge your credit/debit card (where we have the details) for any payment shortfall that remains outstanding following this 30 day period. AirconWarehouse Limited reserves the right to levy a late payment charge/s at the rate of £50 + VAT per week following any thirty day credit period where bills remain unsettled.

Retentions of any kind are expressly forbidden - No customer may attempt to impose any form of payment retention scheme.

Check your Engineer: The law now requires that all companies or individuals installing, maintaining or servicing split air conditioners are registered by a DEFRA approved certification body in order to ensure their competency to handle refrigerant gases & equipment.
